  • 1 medium potato cut into cubes (about 1 cup)
  • 1 medium carrot sliced (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 medium onion coarsely chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 stalk celery, thickly sliced (about 1/2 cup)

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add beef cubes and brown them evenly, ensuring they don’t overcrowd the pan.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add the broth, thyme, and pepper, stirring to combine.
  4. Toss in the potato, carrot, onion, and celery. Mix well.
  5. Cover and simmer the soup for 25–30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Taste the soup and adjust seasonings if necessary before serving.
